My plant story actually started when I moved to Boston seven years ago (how time flies!)

I’m a tropical girl at heart, so it was a huge adjustment for me. I was used to warmth, greenery, and being outdoors, and suddenly I was dealing with long winters, bare trees, and months of cold gray weather. Somewhere along the way, indoor plants became my little escape.

It started innocently enough with a snake plant.

And then, you probably know how this story goes.

One plant became a few. A few became a collection. Then suddenly I was hunting down a Pink Princess, obsessing over variegated Monsteras, learning how to propagate everything, and getting way too excited every time a new leaf started unfurling.

Eventually I found Alocasias and Hoyas, and that was pretty much it for me. I fell completely in love with them.

The name La La Plants was inspired by La La Land, one of my absolute favorite movies. I love how dreamy and hopeful it feels, and how much of it is about following the things you love. My version of La La Land just happens to be full of plants, pretty little things, and whatever makes everyday life feel a little more magical.

I hope this feels like a cozy little corner of the internet where you can look around, find something you love, and maybe leave with another plant you definitely deserve ♡
